Redirect After Post

I hate having that on forums.. I know its to keep people from spamming.. but just possibly you can remove that Big Grin..

Since your posting limit in between time is pretty long already

RE: Redirect After Post

Yes, I have disabled that redirect after post thing (i think).

Let me know if that is better.

Also, I have taken the time limit down to 30 seconds...because I think 60 is a little long. Is that an ok time limit? Too long? Too short?

RE: Redirect After Post

Could be too long for now. The forum is new, it shouldn't have time limits - unless spam is bad, and such. Right now I don't see that. There's no point for a limit right now.

RE: Redirect After Post

Does anybody else feel the same way?

If you guys do, i'll look into lowering it, or eliminating it entirely...although i don't want some spam bot to somehow register and be able to make 10000 posts in an hour or something...

RE: Redirect After Post

It shouldn't be any lower than 15-20 seconds. Any messages posted faster than that are either going to be spam, or crap anyway. I think 30 seconds is just fine, maybe 60s once the site picks up.

RE: Redirect After Post

I think that 30 seconds is enough time! Limits are good at times. There is no reason why someone needs to jump through the forum so fast that they take less than 30 seconds between posts!

Just so long as you changed the search time limit to 30 seconds as well. It's awful to have to wait longer than that when you're trying to find something!

But I do agree to not liking the "friendly redirection" page. Never have seen the use of that and have disabled it on my forum as well! Big Grin
