OVLs??

Anyone know anything about them? I see them becoming more and more used everyday, but I haven't found out what exactly it does. I'm taking a guess and saying Overlays but still, what the heck are they used for?

Well I haven't any idea what an OVL is, but I did look in an acronym dictionary and came up with the following results.

Quote:

OVL - Object Verification Language (ODMG)
OVL - Program Overlay (File Name Extension)

So I am not sure if either of those are the correct thing to even be looking at....

Its some weird filetype that is being used more and more by lots of programs. I have no idea what its used for exactly or what it does.

hmm.... i'll have to look into those and find out what they are....i am kind of surprised though...I haven't ever heard of them, or seen them.
