Flash vs. (animated) gif???

I have an animated gif. I need to modify it, but I think I'm on a right track. I should be able to make a kind of animation I need to make. However, here's a question.

q1. Right now, this animation has 13 frames, and it looks a bit rough. If I increase the number of frames to, say, uh, 25 frames, is it going to make a nice smooth animation?

q2. Also ... if I make this same animation in Flash, is going to make it smoother? What I mean to ask is this. Does using Flash simply make animations smoother than animated gif animations?

RE: Flash vs. (animated) gif???

I really think it depends on the flash, vs. animated gif animations. I think you can make them both look good with enough work.

However, I believe in general flash probably can do a better job with animations, but since I haven't ever worked with flash I can't really say too much (maybe somebody else can?), but I have seen a number of really good animations in flash.

But again I am just basing this on what I have seen done with both. I have only had experience really with animated gifs.

RE: Flash vs. (animated) gif???

Ok, now there is a problem.

I created a gif animation after I read a couple of tutorials and ran some experiments. Looks fine and I'm pretty satisfied. I can fine-tune it, but I don't think I need to use a 3D modeling application like Xara3D and Blender for this. However, ... however, ... there is a problem. Works just fine in Firefox, but it stops working when I play this with another animation in IE. What do I do about this ...???

Do you have an example page somewhere of this happening, so that we can take a look at all the code and such, and see a live example of this happening?

Hello online.education,
I think, but not sure, flashMX is good for animations. But actually I should not say this statement, because I don't know gif animations. But I practice Flash. On this page's top you can see my small banner playing. It is created in Flash. On a background the letters 'josechukkiri' is playing. See whether it is smooth or not. If you are increasing frames, the file size will be more.
