RE: Earn SD$ by posting

I like all the options, however, i'd simplify it a little bit. I like the idea of selling ads by click/impressions. Maybe impressions because otherwise some people could abuse it and click on someone's ad all the time.

Posting packages - are you going to be able to keep up if all of a sudden 2-3 people buy #5?
Up to you but maybe i'd have like a "Starter Package" with 10 Posts (at least 3 of which are new threads), and 1 new member for $20 SD. After a person gets a starter package, they can buy posts (say... 1 post = 2SD?). Starter package should be a little more expensive since you have to take the time to register and everything, but it'd be nice to get 10 posts right away. Later, since your account will be all set up, they can just buy posts individually (and you can "re-stock" every week to how many you'll think you'll be able to do, to avoid people buying 3000 posts in one week.

Same goes for the Ad packages--I think i'd just have one package, and do it at a flat rate.

Custom Title - Should be relatively cheap. But still something "special". My suggestion for now is 50 SD$. Later, 100 SD$ or so.
Someone else's Title - Affordable but make it so that nobody could completely abuse it. 75-100 SD$ for now, maybe around 150 SD$ later.

As for keeping up with things, I am going to have staff positions available, so for instance you can be somebody who does posting and earns SD$ for it.

As for the suggestions for getting rid of the different packages, and making it more of a flat rate type deal....that sounds like a good idea. (guess I have to re-code a good chunk of the shop now for some of these suggestions, oh well at least nothing was complete)

I agree with Tim although I don't want to be on staff. My forum is relatively new and the idea of posting for SD$ is a good one.

There is no requirement that anybody be on staff, I am just trying to make there be a number of different ways that people can earn SD$ other than just posting on the forums here.

There should be rewards for starting popular topics and get $SD for replies to topics as well.

well if you are wondering, I was planning on it showing statistics about your ad, and how many views/clicks and such that they had...

No at this time SD$ cannot be converted into US$,however if the time arises when sourcedevelop is achieving enough to be able to do this, this may be a possibility. However, there are no promises.
