Alpha Opacity in CSS

Anyone used this before? It can create some neat effects for sites to have background images shown through. I'm sure some of you have seen the MySpace pages where the background is somewhat visible through the tables.

RE: Alpha Opacity in CSS

Well I have messed around with it slightly, but only for messing around...I haven't actually used it in any sort of production environment, particularly due to the lack of support for browsers....

RE: Alpha Opacity in CSS

I used it for a while, but it's too much work to get it to work in all browsers. There's probably more complex solutions out there, but I like keeping my code nice and clean.

Yep, getting it to work....requires all kinds of css hacks and everything else...and then it still only will work in a limited number of newer more popular browsers.

See that is the problem, I think it only works in Firefox and IE (and usually only the later versions)

RE: Alpha Opacity in CSS

IE actually has a bug. Once you start adding features using JavaScript while you apply opacity, there is a very good chance that you'll run into a problem.

I haven't ever heard of this bug,

Do you have a resource of some sort that gives more information about this bug?
