Forum Rules

July 29th 2007    [RSS]
Welcome to the SourceDevelop forums. In order to make these forums as pleasant as possible please be sure to read through and follow these basic guidelines. If you have any questions, or problems please feel free to contact a staff member.

General Rules:
  • It is perfectly fine to debate and discuss topics with members, however personal attacks, and/or rudeness is not tolerated.
  • Double posting is not allowed (except as stated in the website showcase forum). Double posting refers to posting twice in a row. If you wish to add on to what you had to say before, simply edit your previous post.
  • Discussing illegal activities, including but not limited to software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.
  • Stay on topic. While it is natural for forum threads to gradually shift and change in topic, it is not natural for a thread to have the first post about computers and the second about something totally un-related. Off-topic posts may be moved or deleted in order to keep the forums running as smoothly as possible.
  • Use a title that describes the content of your post. Don't use all caps or special characters to draw attention.
  • It is ultimately up to staff members to decide what is or is not acceptable content for the forums.

Now you can earn SD$ by posting in the forums. This is going to become a form of currency on SourceDevelop for a number of things in the future. A shop where different items and services can be purchased with SD$ will be arriving shortly.

SourceDevelop In Safari

July 10th 2007    [RSS]
In the past, because I don't have a mac, I really haven't had many resources to test sourcedevelop in safari. Recently however, apple has been working on making safari run in windows. The current release is beta3, and after hearing from others about how there were still isues with how safari was rendering pages, I wasn't too optimistic. However, I downloaded it, and opened up sourcedevelop, and it appears as though the website works without a hiccup in safari. I'll keep poking around to see if I can find anything that is broken, but so far I am impressed. See the screenshot below.

Friendly URL's Added to forums

June 20th 2007    [RSS]
Today I have added friendly URL's to the forums. This will make it easier for search engines to pick up topics that are posted. In addition, it makes things a little cleaner so that the url is more descriptive for you. The forums appear to be functioning properly, however if you notice any issues with anything on the forums that is possibly due to the Search Engine Friendly URLs, feel free to let me know.
